Well, it's official! Deborah Page and band mate Paul Uhl are now MARRIED!!!
They are soooo very excited about this and now that the planning and the preparation and the wedding are all behind them they can finish their album! What will be in store for Deborah Page's second release? Will it be like David Bowie's "Black Tie White Noise?" We'll have to wait and see!

DreamFest 2009 is on schedule for August 21, 22, & 23. However, the lineup has changed significantly. Fortunately DEBORAH PAGE is still performing!!! Heart was to be the main headliner for DreamFest and wanted badly to perform in support of Why Knot Me? However, a clause in their contract with the Puyallup Fair does not allow them to perform. As for Queensryche, they are also not going to be performing for DreamFest 2009. We have not heard the details in regards to their situation.
Those in the music business are aware that things like this happen all the time. It seems to actually be a miracle that ANY show ever happens at all. We receive our information from someone that received their information third hand. We regret any inconvenience this might cause you. But, like we said, you still get to see Deborah Page!!
There is still a great lineup for the show! Please take a look at the official flier HERE to see who is playing when. Deborah Page is still playing Sunday, August 23.
Next year DreamFest is "S U P P O S E D" to take place at the Gorge in George, WA. We will see.... But if it does... can you imagine? Deborah Page on THAT stage!!!

LadyFest '09 was a lot of fun. There definately could have been a LARGER crowd. But this crowd was more about quality than quantity. Thank you to all of you that came out to support Deobrah Page and did your part to contribute to the Domestic Abuse Women's Network. A lot of money was raised in support of this cause.
Watch for Deobrah Page this Saturday as she returns to the Mandolin Cafe'. Her performance was so well received last time that she has been invited back for two more shows this summer! Click HERE for info.

Where do we begin?
It is a NEW YEAR! A new opportunity for things to happen for Deborah Page!
We have a NEW WEB SITE! Instead of using our studio's site (eststudios.com) we are now on our own! DEBORAHPAGEMUSIC.COM!!
New Year's Eve was a big night. Deborah Page had their huge show on the Main Stage in downtown Tacoma. Even under cold and rainy conditions there was a GREAT CROWD! The band was very happy to see all the people out there!! Playing on that stage felt and sounded great.
Paul ended the performance with a little surprise for Deborah Page... Those who were there saw Paul get down on his knee, take Deborah's hand and popped the question! Flowers were brought out on cue by the stage manager.

This coming year will bring great opportunities for Deborah Page.
They have already been booked (and they didn't even have a choice) for a show this summer with the band HEART and many other bands are in the process of being booked for this show including PEARL JAM. This show will take place in Seattle and will benefit underprivileged children. If this show turns out to be a success Deborah Page is confirmed for next year at the GORGE in George, WA.

We are taking a short break from performing while we record our NEW ALBUM!!! We are also producing a LIMITED EDITION ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of our debut album "For." Can't believe it has been a year already. We went back to the location of the original photo shoot and did it over again just for this album. This CD will be available for sale at our FIRST NIGHT performance. We will be on the MAIN STAGE this year!!!

We just added another show for November. Deborah Page will play at the Mad Hat Tea pARTy. At, of course, Mad Hat Tea Company. It will be next Thursday, the 13th, from 5-10. We will play from about 6 to 9. Come down and have tea and crumpets! We received a nice write up on the Tacoma Public Library web site for our upcoming show!

Well, the summer is quite over now.... Slowing down on the live shows.... Thankfully! We ended the summer having played over 65 shows and having sold over 750 albums on our own! We wish to extend our gratitude to all of you who have supported us over this past year! This has been an amazing 10 months. Without all of you coming to our shows, buying our CDs, providing us with venues to play, and spreading the word on Deborah Page, it would not have been possible for us to have been so successful! THANK YOU!!!
So where are we now? We are still playing shows. We have a few coming up in November. We have just been confirmed for the 3rd anniversary party at the Tempest! That will be on November 15th and we will be playing with the Kim Archer Band! November 20th we will be playing our show at the Tacoma Public Library! That'll be different!
We are also back in the studio recording our second album! We had originally hoped to get it out before the end of the year, but we are gonna take our time THIS TIME and do it RIGHT! So you will just have to stay tuned and find out when it will be coming!

We had a blast playing at the 1st Ave. Kent Block Party! It was nice to have such a HUGE crowd! So many events that we were part of this summer got rained out. We all played anyway but to very small crowds of people. The people that we REALLY appreciate for staying in the rain!!! Here are some photos from the Kent Block Party taken by Steve Rima.
Speaking of events... there was this guy that booked us and a couple of other bands on the 4th of July. We played our shows but none of us ever got paid. We eventually decided to forget about the money. This same guy asked us that night if we would be available to play at the Puyallup Fair this year. We said "Yes!" but knowing this guy was a little sketchy I asked him if we could draw up a quick contract right there... in case he "forgot." He said "Just give me a call later..." well..... fast forward to today.... we still hadn't heard anything. Our manager kept calling this guy and he kept saying "Call me tomorrow." Well, we went to the fair today and saw him in person. He told us that there would be no stage and so we couldn't play. HE COULD HAVE TOLD OUR MANAGER OVER THE PHONE! Oh, and he also said, and I quote, "You guys can still play if you can walk around as you play, can you do that?" Um, NO! We are getting more and more used to working with wishy-washy people, and lack of communication seems to be more the rule than the exception.
Good to know.
So.... long story short we will NOT be at the fair this year after all. Bummer.

We have recently booked a show with the Tacoma Public Library. It will be held at the main downtown library inside the Olympic Room. This is a FREE, all ages show and begins at 7pm on Thursday, November 20th. Let's get all of our great fans to join us for this show! We would really love to pack this place! Whew! August is FINALLY over! Ten shows! That was a record for us! Having to do six of them with a borrowed laptop made things a bit more stressful! We have a little bit lighter of a schedule for September... It will be nice to have a little bit of time to catch up and to work on our NEW ALBUM!
We ended this month with a Breast Cancer Three-Day Benefit Show on Anderson Island, WA. That was a nice show. We sold our 750th CD!!! We are all sold out now! If you want a copy of our album you can still get it on CDBABY & AMAZON. You can download it on iTunes.
We have a TON of new photos on our FAN PHOTO PAGE. Scot Crawford took some really great shots of us during our outdoor performance at the Anderson Island Fair. Our next performance will be at the Kent Block Party! We will be playing with Eduardo Mendonca and Grey Sky Falling.

Well.... Things are much better now!!! I went to the Apple Store and picked up my laptop. The repair was finished but they didn't replace the screen like they promised. So the manager, Mecque (pronounced McKay), gave me a brand new one! WOW! That is really cool! I am not used to getting the "royal treatment" when I am a consumer in need! I am really happy about this. She did the right thing. Two crashes within a week on a computer that has only been used 13 months.... hmmm.
So now there are new photos up on the sight... a little redesign...
Remember that radio show we did recently? I have some photos from that up now.
Got two shows this coming weekend... if you want a TRUE getaway... head out to Anderson Island. We are playing the Anderson Island Fair. Also a breast cancer benefit at the fire station... See you there!

So the 100th Monkey event was.... interesting. Our performance was very well received and we got a ton of nice compliments. The costumes and the new lighting really made an impact! A few things happened that were out of our control. Issues with the venue and where they, at the last minute, decided to put us. We always try to make the best of every situation and I believe that this was no exception.
Stay tuned.... I will have some really great photos of us in our costumes posted soon. If I EVER get my laptop back in a working condition! It crashed AGAIN! Five days after I got it back! I talked to the apple. They know that I am not happy. If it happens again... they said they will give me a new one. Hmmmm....

Deborah Page and band mate Paul Uhl will perform live on KWDB AM1110 on Sunday, August 17th at 7pm on their LOUDSPEAKER program. We will be interviewed, play a few of our songs from our CD, and also perform a few of them LIVE on the air! Yeah... it's only AM.... but you gotta start somewhere!

Not sure if this counts as "news" but it is worth writing about.... So this week has been REALLY busy for us... big shows... the Showcase Tacoma show, Plogfest, and Central Meadow Concert in the Park... wouldn't you know it that on Thursday night our laptop died. We use it for all our backing tracks on our live shows. Without it.... well, imagine Mary Mack without the beats... hmmm.... not a good thing. So our laptop is out being fixed and won't be back until next week! Oh no! We could buy a new one... they're only like $4500.00, no problem! Well, my step-dad came to our rescue and loaned us his MacBook. It is smaller and slower... but it works very well! (I spent ALL DAY AND NIGHT Friday redoing our songs that were on my other laptop... some were backed up but not the new ones and the remixes) Thank you, Dave, for saving us! We used it in our shows today and it performed without a single hiccup! We are VERY grateful to have been able to play our shows and they went very well. Whew!

Well, here it is, Thursday already.... in the middle of our BIG WEEK! Two shows on Saturday and one on Sunday... We just played the Farmer's Market on the Ave. It was a huge success for us! We broke our record on CD sales for one show.... sold 8 CDs! At the end of our show Sue Pivetta talked with us and we are going to play the 100th Monkey on August 21st! We are looking forward to that show. It will be held at the Theater on the Square. We got confirmation today that we are now on iTunes! So as a reminder.... you can pick up our CD at any of our performances. If you prefer online... CD Baby and iTunes both carry our CD.

Over the Fourth of July weekend we played a small show on Anderson Island. It was the annual salmon bake at the Johnson Farm. We played right on the front porch of the farm house! Some new fans of ours, the Minyard family from Sumner, were there to see us for their first time! They found us on MySpace and just showed up without ever having heard of us otherwise. They are very nice and their daughters were very happy to see us play. We are happy to have met them! While they were there they took some great pictures of us and sent them to our email.
